HomeAway is introducing the first step to enable listings on our sites with the online booking option.
The feature launching today will allow you to pre-enter the payment methods that you accept. By doing this, you'll be able to unlock new benefits over the next several months as follow-on features are released.

What's being introduced today?
You'll see a new section called “Payment Options” within the “Settings” page of your dashboard. There you'll be able to pre-enter the payment methods you accept.

TIP: If you already use HomeAway Payments, you do not need to do anything. You can already offer the online booking option and your guests' payments are protected for up to $10,000 when they pay through HomeAway Payments.
How will online booking work with your accepted payment methods?
Online booking will soon work with any of your accepted payment methods, not just with HomeAway Payments.
You always decide whether to confirm or decline bookings, and travelers can always call or inquire on your property prior to submitting a request to book. After entering your payment methods, you’ll continue to work with the traveler directly to collect their payment.
IMPORTANT: If you use HomeAway Payments, nothing will change with the way these transactions are processed. For other accepted payment methods, HomeAway does not handle or track the transactions. You will still handle the collection of the payment directly from your guests.
