We're making it easier for you to manage your bookings and quickly communicate with guests, all from the convenience of your phone. Soon, you'll be able to respond to inquiries, booking requests, and other traveler messages via text message.
If you have opted into SMS communications, the current process looks like this: when a traveler sends you an inquiry or booking request, you receive a text from a short-code, in which all messages from all travelers are consolidated into one conversation thread. You cannot respond to the text, but the link will prompt you to login to your mobile app or your dashboard where you can then communicate with the guest.
We are excited to introduce an enhanced SMS feature in which you will be able to directly respond to travelers via text message, when receiving inquiries, booking requests, or other notifications. Messages will appear in separate text conversations, in which each traveler will be assigned a randomized, secure, 10-digit phone number. In instances where you may have a poor WiFi connection and cannot login to your app or dashboard, this feature will give you the ability to immediately respond to the guest. The faster you respond to your guests, the higher your response rate will be under your Ranking Metrics, and not to mention, they will appreciate your quick response!
